1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1 pound ground beef
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon olive oil
8 ounces egg noodles, cooked according to package instructions
1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of mushroom soup
1 cup beef broth
1 cup sour cream
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with cooking spray.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until well combined.
Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook until browned on all sides, about 8-10 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, add the cooked egg noodles, cream of mushroom soup, beef broth, and sour cream. Stir until well combined and heated through.
Place half of the noodle mixture into the prepared baking dish. Arrange the cooked meatballs on top of the noodles.
Cover the meatballs with the remaining noodle mixture. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the top.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving, if desired.
Enjoy your savory Swedish Meatball Noodle Bake!
