Hawaiian banana bread

1/2 cup crushed pineapple, drained

3 ripe bananas, mashed

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/3 cup melted butter

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup brown sugar

2 large eggs

1/2 cup chopped macadamia nuts (optional)

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.

In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas, crushed pineapple, melted butter, and vanilla extract.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.

In another bowl, cream together the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and eggs until well combined.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in the chopped macadamia nuts if using.

Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan and smooth the top.

Bake for about 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Allow the Hawaiian Banana Bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.

Enjoy your tropical twist on classic banana bread!
