Fried corn with butter and honey

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cups fresh or frozen corn kernels

Optional: chopped fresh parsley or chives for garnish

2 tablespoons honey

Salt and pepper to taste

  • Prepare the Corn*
  • If using fresh corn, remove the kernels from the cob. If using frozen corn, thaw and drain it well.
  • Heat the Skillet*
  • Place a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add the Butter*
  • Once the skillet is hot, add the butter. Allow it to melt and slightly brown, which will give a nice nutty flavor to the dish.
  • Cook the Corn*
  • Add the corn kernels to the skillet. Stir to coat the corn with the melted butter. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the corn is tender and lightly browned in spots.
  • Add the Honey*
  • Drizzle the honey over the corn. Stir well to ensure the honey is evenly distributed and coats all the corn kernels.
  • Season*
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste. Continue to cook for another 1-2 minutes, stirring frequently, until everything is well combined and the honey has slightly caramelized.
  • Garnish and Serve*
  • Remove the skillet from heat. If desired, garnish with chopped fresh parsley or chives. Serve warm.
