Slow cooker beef ramen recipe


4 cups beef broth

1 lb beef (such as chuck roast or stew meat), cut into bite-sized pieces

1/4 cup soy sauce

2 tbsp oyster sauce

1/4 cup hoisin sauce

1 tbsp sesame oil

1 inch ginger, minced

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tbsp brown sugar

4 packages ramen noodles (discard seasoning packets)

Optional toppings: sliced green onions, soft-boiled eggs, sesame seeds, chopped cilantro


  • Prepare the Slow Cooker*
  • Place the beef pieces into the slow cooker.
  • Add beef broth, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, minced ginger, and brown sugar.
  • Cooking*
  • Cover and cook on low heat for 7-8 hours or on high heat for 3-4 hours, until the beef is tender.
  • Prepare the Noodles*
  • About 10 minutes before serving, cook the ramen noodles according to the package instructions. Drain well.
  • Combine and Serve*
  • Add the cooked ramen noodles to the slow cooker. Stir to combine and let them soak up the flavors for a few minutes.
  • Serve hot, topped with optional green onions, soft-boiled eggs, sesame seeds, and chopped cilantro if desired.

  • Pair the savory beef ramen with stir-fried vegetables like broccoli, snap peas, or bok choy.
