★Instructions

Mix Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, yeast, and salt. Pour in the warm water and stir with a wooden spoon or spatula until a sticky dough forms. Do not overmix; the dough should be a little rough and shaggy.

First Rise: Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a kitchen towel and let it sit at room temperature for 12 to 18 hours. The dough will rise and develop bubbles on the surface.

Preheat Oven and Dutch Oven: Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C). Place your Dutch oven (with the lid on) inside the oven as it heats up.

Shape the Dough: Lightly flour your hands and a work surface. Carefully turn the dough out onto the floured surface. Shape it into a ball by folding the edges toward the center. Let it rest for 30 minutes while the oven finishes preheating.

Bake the Bread: Remove the Dutch oven from the oven (be cautious, it will be very hot). Gently place the dough ball into the Dutch oven. If desired, you can make shallow slashes on the top of the dough with a sharp knife for a more rustic look.

Cover and Bake: Place the lid back on the Dutch oven and bake for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, remove the lid and bake for an additional 10 to 15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and crisp.

Cool and Serve: Remove the bread from the Dutch oven and let it cool on a wire rack before slicing.

Enjoy!
