Crank Beeffield Spring Rollers

★Ingredients

1 small onion, finely chopped

1 lb (450g) ground beef

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 teaspoon cumin (optional for added flavor)

1/2 teaspoon salt

Spring roll wrappers (available in most grocery stores)

1 egg (for sealing the rolls)

Vegetable oil (for frying)

★Instructions

Prepare the Filling:

In a large pan over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned.

Add the chopped onion and garlic, sauté until soft.

Season the mixture with soy sauce, black pepper, cumin, and salt. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until everything is well combined.

Remove from heat and allow the filling to cool slightly.

  • Assemble the Spring Rolls:

Lay out a spring roll wrapper on a clean surface, with one corner facing you.

Place about 1-2 tablespoons of the beef mixture near the corner closest to you.

Fold the corner over the filling, then fold in the sides, and roll up tightly.

Brush the edge with beaten egg to seal the roll.

Fry the Rolls:

Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan or fryer to 350°F (175°C).

Fry the spring rolls in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes.

Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.

Serve:

Serve the crispy beef rolls hot, with your favorite dipping sauce like soy sauce, sweet chili sauce, or garlic yogurt sauce.

Enjoy!
