Creamy Chicken and Broccoli Casserole

★Ingredients

2-3 cups of fresh or frozen broccoli florets

2 cups of cooked chicken breast, shredded

1 cup of sour cream

1 can of cream of chicken soup (10.5 oz)

1 1/2 cups of shredded cheese (cheddar or a mix)

1/2 cup of mayonnaise (optional)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the Broccoli: If using fresh broccoli, steam it lightly until tender. If using frozen broccoli, thaw and drain.
  3. Mix the Sauce: In a medium bowl, combine sour cream, cream of chicken soup, mayonnaise, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Assemble the Casserole: In a greased baking dish, spread the cooked chicken evenly across the bottom. Add the broccoli florets on top of the chicken.
  5. Top with Sauce: Pour the creamy mixture over the chicken and broccoli, spreading it evenly to cover the ingredients.
  6. Add Cheese: Sprinkle the shredded cheese evenly on top.
  7. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until the casserole is hot and bubbly, and the cheese is melted and slightly golden.
  8. Serve: Let the casserole cool slightly before serving.
