2 cinnamon sticks
4-5 whole cloves
2-3 star anise pods
4 cups water
1-2 slices of fresh ginger (optional)
1 tablespoon honey or sugar (optional)
Lemon slices (optional)
★Instructions
- Boil Water: In a medium-sized pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
- Add Spices: Once the water is boiling, add the cinnamon sticks, cloves, and star anise to the pot. You can also add fresh ginger slices for an extra kick if you like.
- Simmer: Reduce the heat and let the mixture simmer for about 10-15 minutes. This allows the flavors of the spices to infuse into the water.
- Strain: After simmering, strain the tea to remove the spices.
- Sweeten and Serve: If desired, add honey or sugar to sweeten the tea. You can also add a slice of lemon for extra flavor.
