Soft and Fluffy Milk Bread Recipe

★Ingredients

2 tsp instant yeast

3 cups all-purpose flour

1/4 cup sugar

1/2 cup warm milk

1 tsp salt

1/4 cup unsalted butter (softened)

1 egg

1/4 cup warm water

★Instructions

  • Prepare the Dough: In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Add the warm milk, warm water, butter, and egg. Stir the mixture until a dough forms.
  • Knead the Dough: Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic. You can also use a stand mixer with a dough hook for this step.
  • First Rise: Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1-1.5 hours, or until it doubles in size.
  • Shape the Dough: After the dough has risen, punch it down and divide it into three equal pieces. Shape each piece into a smooth ball or roll.
  • Second Rise: Place the shaped dough pieces into a greased loaf pan. Cover and let them rise again for about 30-40 minutes, or until they double in size.
  • Bake the Bread: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the bread for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the bread sounds hollow when tapped.
  • Cool and Serve: Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
