Peacekeeping cookies

It looks like there’s a mix of ingredients and instructions for making cookies, with some confusion in the details. Here’s a clearer version of the recipe.

Cookies Maintien de la Paix

★Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup melted butter
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1.5 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (walnuts and peanuts)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs

★Directions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, beat together the white sugar, brown sugar, and melted butter until smooth and creamy.

Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in the vanilla extract.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until well combined.

Stir in the breadcrumbs and chopped nuts carefully.

Spoon the dough onto the prepared baking tray, leaving enough space between each cookie.

Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.

Let the cookies cool on the baking tray for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Enjoy!
