- 1 cup bread crumbs
- 2 lbs ground beef
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup

- Prepare the Meat Mixture*
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, bread crumbs, milk, chopped onion, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into 6-8 oval patties, about 1 inch thick.
- Coat the Patties*
- Lightly coat each patty with flour on both sides.
- Cook the Patties*
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add a little oil or butter to the skillet.
- Brown the patties on both sides until they have a nice crust, about 3-4 minutes per side. You may need to do this in batches.
- Transfer the browned patties to a baking dish.
- Make the Gravy*
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the beef broth and condensed cream of mushroom soup until smooth.
- Pour the gravy mixture over the patties in the baking dish.
- Bake*
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 1 hour, or until the patties are cooked through and the gravy is bubbly.
