★Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan.
Mix 1/3 cup light brown sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon in a small bowl and set aside.
In another bowl, cream the 2/3 cup white sugar and softened butter together until smooth.
Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, combine the flour and baking powder, then add to the creamed mixture and stir to combine. Add the milk and mix until smooth.
Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
Mix the chopped apples with 2 tablespoons sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon. Place half of the apple mixture on top of the batter in the pan. Sprinkle half of the brown sugar-cinnamon mixture over the apples.
Pour the remaining batter over the apples and top with the remaining apples and brown sugar-cinnamon mixture.
Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Let the bread cool for about 15 minutes in the pan before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
For the glaze, mix the powdered sugar and milk together until smooth. Drizzle over the cooled bread.
Enjoy!
