Million dollar spaghetti casserole


1 can of spaghetti sauce

1 pound ground meat

8 ounces of cream cheese

1 cup cottage cheese

¼ cup sour cream

½ cup butter (1 stick)

Grated cheddar cheese

1 bag (16 oz) of pasta


Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

Boil the spaghetti pasta until al dente (firm). Drain and set aside.

In a large skillet, cook the ground meat until browned. Drain excess fat.

Add the spaghetti sauce to the cooked meat and simmer for a few minutes.

In a separate bowl, mix together the cream cheese, sour cream, and cottage cheese until well blended.

Place half of the cooked pasta in a greased baking dish.

Spread the cheese mixture over the pasta.

Add the remaining pasta on top of the cheese mixture.

Pour the meat and sauce mixture over the top layer of pasta.

Dot the top with slices of butter.

Sprinkle grated cheddar cheese evenly over the top.

Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Remove from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
