Pies with minced meat and vegetables

  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 175 milliliters of boiling water
  • 20 milliliters of vegetable oil
  • 350 grams of flour
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • Half a bunch of green onions
  • 250 grams of minced beef
  • 30 milliliters of water for evaporation
  • Spices (salt, pepper, cumin, etc.) to taste

In a large mixing bowl, add 175 milliliters of boiling water and 1 teaspoon of salt. Stir until the salt is fully dissolved.

Gradually add the 350 grams of flour to the salted water, mixing continuously until it starts to form a dough.

Begin kneading the dough on a floured surface until it becomes smooth and elastic. If the dough is too sticky, add a bit more flour as needed.

While kneading, gradually add 20 milliliters of vegetable oil to the dough.

Once the dough reaches the desired consistency, cover it and let it rest for 20 minutes.

  • Prepare the Filling

Finely chop the green onions and slice the regular onion.

In a pan, heat a small amount of oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onions and sauté until they become translucent.

Add the 250 grams of minced beef to the pan and cook until browned.

Season the beef mixture with salt, pepper, cumin, and any other spices to taste.

Once the beef is cooked, add the finely chopped green onions and mix well.

Add 30 milliliters of water to the beef mixture and let it simmer until the water evaporates, ensuring the filling is moist but not too wet.

  • Assemble the Dish

Divide the dough into small portions and roll each portion into a flat circle.

Place a spoonful of the beef and onion filling in the center of each dough circle.

Fold the dough over the filling and seal the edges by pressing them together.
