Preparing corn chips with marshmallows

  • 4 cups of mini marshmallows
  • 4 cups of corn chips (like Fritos)
  • Optional: chocolate chips, nuts, or dried fruit for extra flavor
  • 1/4 cup of unsalted butter


Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with butter or cooking spray.

In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.

Once the butter is melted, add the mini marshmallows to the saucepan.

Stir constantly until the marshmallows are completely melted and smooth.

Remove the saucepan from the heat and quickly stir in the corn chips until they are evenly coated with the marshmallow mixture.

Pour the mixture into the greased baking dish and press it down evenly with a spatula or your hands.

If desired, sprinkle chocolate chips, nuts, or dried fruit over the top of the mixture and gently press them into the surface.

Allow the corn chip marshmallow treats to cool and set for at least 30 minutes before cutting into squares and serving.
