- Prepare the Sauce*
- In a bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger until well combined.
- Add Chicken and Sauce to Crock Pot*
- Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the Crock Pot.
- Pour the teriyaki sauce over the chicken, making sure each piece is well coated.
- Cook*
- Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or on high for 2-3 hours, until the chicken is fully cooked and tender.
- Thicken the Sauce*
- Once the chicken is cooked, remove it from the Crock Pot and set it aside on a plate.
- In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch with water to create a slurry.
- Stir the cornstarch slurry into the sauce in the Crock Pot to thicken it.
- Turn the Crock Pot to high and let the sauce cook for about 10-15 minutes, or until it thickens to your desired consistency.
- Combine and Serve*
- Once the sauce has thickened, return the chicken to the Crock Pot and coat it with the sauce.
- Serve the chicken teriyaki over rice or noodles.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions if desired.
Tips*
- For added flavor, you can marinate the chicken in the teriyaki sauce for a few hours before cooking.
- Feel free to add vegetables like bell peppers, broccoli, or snap peas during the last hour of cooking for a complete meal.
Enjoy!
