- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons melted butter or vegetable oil
- Butter or oil for cooking
- 1 large egg
For the Sausage*
- 8 sausage links or patties (your choice)

Mix Dry Ingredients* In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Mix Wet Ingredients* In another bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, milk, egg, and melted butter.
Combine* Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. The batter may be slightly lumpy; that’s okay.
Cook Pancakes*
Heat a griddle or non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly grease with butter or oil.
Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto the griddle for each pancake.
Cook until bubbles form on the surface and the edges look set, about 2-3 minutes.
Flip and cook until the other side is golden brown, about 1-2 minutes more.
Keep pancakes warm in a low oven if needed.
Cook Sausage*
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage links or patties according to the package instructions or until they are cooked through and browned on all sides, about 10-12 minutes.
Drain on paper towels if needed.
